PizzaLuxe, the Paul Goodale-owned, premium fast casual concept, will open the first site in partnership with SSP at Manchester Airport.

The new site will open in early September landside in the airport’s terminal 1 food court.

PizzaLuxe signed an agreement at the end of last year with SSP to develop and operate new format fast casual counters across the travel concession operator’s UK and Ireland estate.

It is thought that further openings will follow within SSP’s Network Rail locations.

The new site will build on the success of the company’s Leeds Trinity store, opened in 2013, which delivered +54% like-for-like sales growth for the 12 months to December 2017 and 20% store EBITDA.

The fresh-to-order counter format will form the basis of the new units to be developed by SSP.
